Frail Land

A luminous tree rooted in layered violet terrain. With each tentative tone of the music, parts of the form shatter into a cascade of white fragments, like frost flakes, only to gather itself again, whole and radiant. This cycle of breaking and healing unfolds in rhythm with the sound, echoing the balance between vulnerability and resilience.

In the 2022 Artist Alliance Biennial at the Oceanside Museum of Art, this piece was awarded First Place by juror Alessandra Moctezuma.
