Dance at BRICK

This piece was created for a DJ, Dance and Art Installation event.

Using a Kinect camera device, up to 4 people could be recognized in the dance space and their silhouettes and motion were integrated into the graphics projection. People danced with the graphics.

In experimenting with both masked silhouettes and also using the Kinect as a motion-tracking device to control an abstract graphics avatar, it became clear that silhouettes are more FUN, because people immediately recognize themselves in the display.
